Welcome to Legit & Co Rentals. Please read the following Terms & Conditions carefully before renting a vehicle. By renting a vehicle from us, you agree to comply with these terms.

Driver Requirements

Minimum Age

• Drivers must be 25 to 75 years of age.
• Drivers under 25 must contact us before making a reservation, as additional requirements may apply.

Driver's License

• A valid driver's license held for at least one (1) year is required.
• Licenses issued in North America, the European Union, or any country using the Latin alphabet are accepted.
• Drivers with licenses not written in Latin characters must present a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) together with their original license.

Insurance Coverage

All rental vehicles include standard insurance coverage subject to the terms of the rental agreement.

Insurance Will Become Void If:

Insurance coverage does not apply if the vehicle is used in any of the following situations:

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Violating the rental agreement or Bahamas Road Traffic Laws.
• Allowing anyone not listed on the rental agreement to drive.
• Carrying more passengers than the vehicle's approved seating capacity.
• Transporting illegal goods or hazardous materials.
• Racing, speed testing, towing, or off-road driving.
• Driving on beaches, rough terrain, or unauthorized roads.
• Engine damage caused by using the incorrect fuel.
• Theft or damage resulting from leaving the vehicle unlocked or with the keys inside.
• Damage caused while the vehicle is illegally parked.
• Any intentional, reckless, or negligent use of the vehicle.

Renter Responsibilities

Traffic Violations

The renter is fully responsible for all parking tickets, traffic fines, tolls, and violations incurred during the rental period, including those received after the vehicle has been returned.

Fuel Policy

Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as when collected. No refunds are given for unused fuel.

Vehicle Return

Vehicles must be returned on the agreed date and time stated in the rental agreement.

Late returns may result in an additional full day's rental charge.

Accidents

In the event of an accident:

1. Contact Legit & Co Rentals immediately at (242) 437-3010.
2. Contact the Royal Bahamas Police Force by calling 911 or 919.
3. Do not move the vehicle until instructed by the police or insurance representative, unless required for safety.
4. Obtain the names, addresses, phone numbers, and insurance details of all parties involved.
5. Failure to report an accident properly may result in the renter being held fully responsible for all damages.

Rental Information

Minimum Rental Period

• 1 Day

Mileage

• Unlimited Miles

Taxes

• All rental rates include 10% VAT.

After-Hours Service

Vehicle deliveries or collections between 10:30 PM and 7:45 AM are subject to an additional $20 service fee.

Smoking Policy

All vehicles are 100% smoke-free.

If a vehicle is returned with evidence of smoking or a noticeable smoke odor, a $450 cleaning and deodorizing fee will be charged.

Cancellations

• Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time.
• No refunds will be issued once the vehicle has been collected.
• Failure to collect the vehicle without prior notice may result in cancellation without refund.

Vehicle Care

The renter agrees to:

• Keep the vehicle secure and locked whenever unattended.
• Return the vehicle in the same condition in which it was rented, excluding normal wear and tear.
• Report any mechanical issues immediately.
• Avoid any use that could reasonably cause damage to the vehicle.

Additional Charges

The renter may be responsible for charges resulting from:

• Vehicle damage not covered by insurance.
• Lost keys or key replacement.
• Missing accessories or equipment.
• Excessive cleaning.
• Smoking violations.
• Fuel replacement.
• Late returns.
• Towing or recovery resulting from driver negligence.

Right to Refuse Service

Legit & Co Rentals reserves the right to refuse or terminate any rental agreement if false information is provided, rental terms are violated, or the vehicle is used in an unsafe or unlawful manner.

Agreement

By accepting the vehicle, the renter confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and accepts responsibility for complying with all applicable laws and the conditions of this rental agreement.
